Starting this blog has been weighing heavy on my heart for quite some time. I’ve been in this caregiving life for almost eleven years and adjusting has, to say the least, been an adventure in itself. For the first couple of years I struggled internally with my fears, emotions, and thoughts. Quite frankly, it was draining me. I knew I wasn’t in it alone but it sure felt like it at times. Now that I have found some balance and “somewhat” figured this thing out, I wanted to create a space where I am able to hopefully help others on their journey, starting with themselves.
There are numerous sites out there that provide resources for those being cared for, but not for those doing the caring. Here you will find ideas, strategies, and support from someone that is living the life. By no means is this blog meant to be gospel, but it is my hope that it helps at least one caregiver find the peace and strength they need to keep going!
